Chris and Ricki are a dynamic couple and business partners; 1st rate inspections are owned by Chris Lange, who has 38 years of experience in the home improvement industry, including Handy Dan, Home Depot, and Bed Bath & Beyond. He started doing home inspections around ten years ago. He is a Licensed Professional Inspector, Licensed Mold Assessment Consultant, Licensed Commercial Technician with the Department of Agriculture, Certified Pool, and Spa Operator, and Certified Pool & Spa Inspector. In addition, he has completed certifications in Residential Thermal Imaging, NAWT Septic, Tainted Corrosive “Chinese” Drywall, and Phase Inspections. He also holds a Master Inspector Certification through InterNACHI.

Chris and Ricki are business coaches for home inspectors in North America. Chris is also an instructor for home inspection, mold classes, and realtor courses throughout Texas. He oversees the operations of 1st Rate Inspections and the 1st Rate family. They’ve inspected more than 5 million square feet of property this year alone. Chris goes to the lake and enjoys riding his Waverunner on his free days. He also enjoys spending time with his family at the beach and zoo. He is also a big Texans, Astros, and Rockets fan.
